Mosquitoes
A mosquito is any member of a group of about 3,500 species of small insects belonging to the order Diptera. They are thin, long-legged, two-winged insects and are typically six to 12 millimeters in length. Both males and females have antennae and an elongated "beak" or proboscis three to four times longer than its head.
Drain Flies
Drain flies are about the same size as gnats and fruit flies—between 2mm and 5mm—but can be distinguished by their small, moth-like wings and round, fuzzy bodies.
Fruit Flies
Fruit flies are a very small oval fly with adults growing only to be 1/8th of an inch length. Their thorax is tan in color and their abdomen is black with a gray underbelly, fruit flies, however tend to have an overall tan appearance. Fruit flies often have red eyes, although some can have dark colored eyes.
Cluster Flies
Cluster flies, also known as attic flies, are household pests. Length: Adults measure 8 to 10 millimeters. Color non-metallic, light & dark grey abdomen In the late fall, cluster flies will fly to the sunny sides of homes and other structures in search of protected sites to over-winter.
House Flies
The house fly is 5 to 7 mm long, with the female usually larger than the male. Its head has reddish-eyes and sponging mouth-parts. The thorax bears four narrow black stripes and there is a sharp upward bend in the fourth longitudinal wing vein.
